Fuel Contamination Drain-Off

Have you accidentally put the wrong fuel into your car or van? If so, here’s what you should do:

If you haven’t started driving yet:

Don’t switch your ignition on as that’s when most of the damage is done, remove the key from the ignition and then alert the staff at the petrol station. You should then make sure your car is in neutral and push your car to a safe place if possible. Once your car is in a safe space, give Godfrey's Automotive Services a call on 01406 425254 and we can come and drain and flush the system to ensure that all the incorrect fuel is removed and get you back on the road again.

If you have already started your engine:

Turn off the engine as soon as it is safe to do so, put your car into neutral and call Godfrey's Automotive Services on 01406 425254. We can come and drain and flush the system to remove all of the incorrect fuel and get you back on the road again.
